About Me

I am an instructional designer and bibliophile based out of Columbus, OH. I am currently working as an instructional design consultant for Change 4 Growth. Before it was brought to a close I was also a co-host on the All of the Above Podcast, where I discussed education, design, and technology with Sam Bantner and Sean Doran.


Training & Instructional Design Experience

Instructional Design Consultant – Sequent, Inc. – 2016 - Present

  • Provides guidance on all aspects of instructional design to Fortune 500 clients in industries ranging from retail to medical.
  • Contributed learning and development expertise that directly contributed to the fastest rollout of a Point-of-Sale implementation in the retail industry.
  • Served as one of three senior instructional designers behind the Academy for Modern Professionals, a modern leadership development program for high potential next generation leaders.
  • Acted as the lead instructional designer and project manager during the analysis and re-design of leadership training for one of the largest fashion retailers in America.
  • Promoted the application of agile values and principles to the instructional design model with external clients and internally within my own organization.

Director of Training – Woda Management & Real Estate, LLC – 2013-2015

  • Established and set the foundation for a learning culture within a multi-faceted company
  • Applies strong leadership skills to guide learning and development, keep programs on task and in budget, and promote training within the organization

Instructional Designer – Micro Center - 2014

  • Collaborated with a team to resolve instructional design challenges, offer guidance to new instructional designers, and ensure a consistent training strategy is applied
  • Performed regular needs analysis in the field to identify pain points that can be effectively resolved through training
  • Partnered with third-party vendors to design training on their products and solutions to bolster sales and improve customer service
  • Designed and developed engaging eLearning for a wide range of sales teams on a variety of complex technologies and services
  • Researched and implemented new and proven instructional design strategies and educational technologies
  • Evaluated the success of training programs to ensure they were bringing value to our employees, our customers, and our business. 

Mentor & In-Store Guest Trainer – Apple, Inc. – 2010 - 2013

  • Responsible for developing and fostering a learning culture within one of the fastest moving companies and markets.
  • Delivered and facilitated all new hire training in classroom, digital, and work environments -Provided feedback and collaborated on training curriculum with the instructional design team
  • Worked closely with management and supervisors to be aware of developmental opportunities and behavior issues
  • Regularly monitored and communicated the progress of employees to supervisors -Created action plans for long-term development of employees and constructed personalized curriculums for each participant
